Got in to Osaka finally. It’s raining, and we realize there are no stairs at the station near the hotel, so we decide to catch a cab from the main Osaka station.

The cabbie asks us what country we’re from, and Stephanie tells him “USA”. He then asks, “New York?” As a Texan, I’m legally obligated to be offended by that, but I’m too strung out so I let it slide. Stephanie tells him “Dallas”, and I follow up with “Texas”.

He gets this look of recognition, then says, “Dallas! Kennedy! BANG!”, making a finger gun for the last bit.

Seriously. That was our cab ride. Cool guy.
