Heh. :) Nah, it wasn't too bad - it was a slow-drying glue, so I could pull it off before it affixed itself permanently. Left a couple of patches of glue on my thumb until it wore off later this afternoon, though. It's stuff called "butvar" (pronounced BYOOT-var) that we brush on fossils to stabilize them and to glue bits that fall off back on again. If I'd let it dry completely while holding the thing, I think it would have been part of me for some time -- I didn't peel the stuff left on my thumb off, because it seemed to want to take skin with it.

And I managed to get my fossil completely out of the rock. Yay. I get to pulverize the rock now to see if there's anything else inside it.
