Cold
I have now hit the scary-coughing-fit stage, for the first time in a decade of using the humidifier at night when I have a cold. At one point Toby was all "That's, like, whooping-cough levels of cough." I'm not sure he believed me when I told him I've had worse.
So tonight I am still self-banished to the spare bedroom, and the humidifier is cranked up to eleven. Although it's still a bit warm in the evenings inside the house, I have foregone the ceiling fan on the chance that it's dispersing the humidity before it does any good, and have cranked the A/C down instead. That runs the risk of making the air a bit dryer, but I can't sleep if I'm too warm, so it's a tradeoff.
So home AGAIN tomorrow because I sure as hell can't get any work done when i'm coughing uncontrollably.

I'd suggest Buckleys, because nothing immobilizes a cough for a while like being hit with a good hefty dose of How Mother Nature Says 'Do Not Put In Mouth', but it's hard to get in the States and frankly it's just a mean thing to do to someone who isn't expecting it.
