Monday Question
As I am sitting inside my office in a construction zone while jackhammers pound on around me unrelentingly, rattling the windows and the air ducts above my office, I cannot come up with anything substantial to say. So instead I will pose this question to you all:
Project Runway has partnered with another reality show as an episode sponsor. What show is it, and what challenge are you looking forward to?
Inspired by this email exchange with Toby:
Me: This Project Runway challenge is partnered with Red Robin. GAH
Me: The designers are now all sitting inside eating steak fries and sketching.
The fun bit of the challenge is that male models came out of the restaurant wearing "classic" suits from the past 50-60 years--including brown corduroy, pink floral, etc.--and the designers have to make a dress that is inspired by and incorporates fabric from that suit.
The Red Robin tie-in is completely unnecessary.
Toby: Eventually reality TV will eat itself, and we’ll have challenges based on other reality TV shows.
Me: Cannot wait for the unconventional materials challenge when the fashion designers have to make a cocktail dress out of coconuts, sand, and tiki torches on the set of Survivor!
