Christmas Eagles

At the in-laws celebrating a late Christmas. They live on a small lake, and there's a mated pair if bald eagles. During Christmas dinner a few minutes ago, they flew across the lake and settled in trees directly across the lake from the house we're in. My father in law aimed their telescope at them so we've all taken a look.

I'd post a picture, but the tree they're in is far enough away that they'd show up only as tiny white dots a couple of pixels wide.

I was at King Arthur Flour a couple of months back, and one was tooling around in the sky. I could see it so clearly but my phone saw...a dot.
