Spinning

Today's production on my new spindle: http://i.imgur.com/qQfC6oQ.jpg

I need to work on drafting, which is pulling the wool fibers apart and thinning the bundle down to a consistent width, which determines how thick the resulting yarn is. Mine is quit variable, as you can see! Sorry it's not in focus.

Toby included as he provided a nice dark background.

Thick-and-thin yarn is totally a thing, but not necessarily the thing you want. I admire your progress! I never got the hang of spinning, and Kiro finds it too hard on the back, so've passed on our spindles and fiber.

Scarves, often, or hats. Things that don't require sticking to an even gauge.

But the "art" yarn with like barbie heads and gnomes tied in, that's stretching the idea to the breaking point.
