Dragons!

In Flight Rising news, I have two clutches' worth of hatchlings!

I'm definitely keeping the black female hatchling, as I've got two males I want to breed her with eventually. I may keep the blue one; not entirely sure about that. But anyway! Baby dragons!

I know! The whole exalt mechanism is deeply upsetting to me, because it feels like dumping stray dragons off at the shelter to be put to sleep. I'm not even going to breed my non-gened starters again, because chances are no one would buy the offspring for any purpose other than exalting.

Mirror Dragonlings are so adorable. :D

I'm hoping when I get to breed my two Imperials I'll get some nice white/ maize primary and secondary mixes going on. As a nice bonus they've both got Tiger genes and one of them has the Seraph gene so hopefully that'll cross over too. Sadly they wont produce a white/ maize tertiary, but I guess the breeding program has to start somewhere. ^^

I have a white/rose/slate Pearlcatcher male that I'm going to breed, but I'm not sure who to, yet. And a coal/white/white male Guardian with the Circuit gene who should produce some nice-looking hatchlings with one of my ladies, but I'm not sure ho yet!

I'm also saving up for a couple of genes for my all-white male (white/white/tomato) and one of the females, so offspring might get some interesting patterns, but I'm not sure which one yet.

Your Pearlcatcher sounds like a pretty combo for my charcoal iridescent/rose/forest girl ... (except for the forest. which I suppose is a showstopper).

I should have pink/purple/grey (guessing!) babies tomorrow from my two-egg nest, and green/blue-combo ones three days later from my three-egg nest, if you want to swap offspring again. Breeds would be Guardian, Tundra, and/or Mirror, just like yours.

We may have to do a temporary trade one way or the other with the Pearlcatcher for stud purposes! :D It looks like their hatchlings would be cool colors, with rose wings and possible bright or earthy accents: http://trollslum.net/fr/?id=7,2,67,67,35,53,2

I've got two eggs incubating right now that might turn up earthy green, but with my luck will be bright pink again. XD http://trollslum.net/fr/?id=31,2,43,2,54,58,1

edit: Meant to say sure, we can swap again! The two eggs I mentioned just started, so you might want to wait a few days and see if either of them takes after their mother.

The swap should work! Vardina (Pearlcatcher) won't be ready to start a family for another four days. By then I should have another nest empty.

I just started another two myself! This third clutch should be all greens and yellows.

Luneth, my Pearlcatcher, should be ready in 8 days, so there's plenty of time.

My older all-black/grey guy matured today, and I'm thinking of breeding him to my white/jade/avocado Tundra lady who will be ready for another clutch tomorrow.

I don't have many dragons yet (I suppose I didn't have to buy two Imperials, but I wanted them, dammit!), but if you ever happen to need a certain mix you're welcome to come browse my lair to see if I have anything useful. :)

I just got a pair of Imperials! I'm trying to produce lighter green ones (my young lady is jungle green tiger, which looks fairly dark) ... I imagine I'll actually get every other possible color. XD

Green is a good colour for Imperials. I wish you good luck with your project! :)

I know your pain when it comes to the randomness of colour inheritance. I was hoping my first hatchlings were going to be an interesting mix of light base and complementary secondary, so of course I got two variations of black, white and grey. Next time I'm going to have to be more careful with my wishes!
