Lemming time - fanfic meme

Ganked from [livejournal.com profile] jonquil

First, write down the names of 12 characters. Then read and answer the questions. You can't look at the questions (or click on the cut) until you write down the 12 characters you're going to use.

1) Mr. Bagthorpe (from Helen Cresswell's Bagthorpe Saga books)
2) Mello (Death Note)
3) Alice (Alice's Adventures in Wonderland)
4) Howl (Howl's Moving Castle movie and book)
5) Paarfi (narrator of several of Steven Brust's Dragaera books)
6) Haruko (from FLCL)
7) Mugen (Samurai Champloo)
8) Miles Vorkosigan (Bujold's Vorkosigan books)
9) Mma Ramotswe (from Alexander Mccall Smith's Botswana series)
10) Number Ten Ox (from Barry Hughart's Bridge of Birds and sequels)
11) Integra Hellsing (from Hellsing)
12) Sesshoumaru (from InuYasha)

Have you ever read a Six/Eleven fic? Do you want to?

Haruko/Integra Hellsing. Oh dear God the universe would implode.

Do you think Four is hot? How hot?
Howl. Miyazaki-Howl, yes, very much so, book-Howl, no.

What would happen if Twelve got Eight pregnant?
Sesshoumaru/Miles Vorkosigan ... I have to go lie down for a while now.

Can you rec any fic(s) about Nine?
Mma Ramotswe? Yes: the actual books themselves by Alexander McCall Smith. Haven't read any fanfic about them, and am positive that if any exist, they wouldn't capture the voice

Would Two and Six make a good couple?
Mello/Haruko. Well, there's a certain me-against-the-universe theing going on which they share, but I think they're both WAY too self-absorbed, violent, and destructive and I would have to be in a very very deep bunker at least thousand miles away from them if they were ever to meet.

Five/Nine or Five/Ten? Why?
Paarfi/Mma Ramotswe or Paarfi/Number Ten Ox. Er. I can't see either one in the least, actually.

What would happen if Seven walked in on Two and Twelve having sex?
Mugen and Mello/Sesshomaru. Er. Challenge them to a fight, most likely.

Make up a summary for a Three/Ten fic.
Alice/Number Ten Ox. Um. Alice, all grown up, falls through anoher dimenional rift while in the Chinese Gallery of the British Museum, landing straight in the lap of Number Ten Ox. Master Li is intrigued by this and drags them both off on a wild and adventurous journey while piecing together random clues and Nature Takes Its Course between Alice and Number Ten Ox, with Master Li flirting a bit interjecting the occasional sigh and wishing he were only ninety again, and then he'd be a strong rival against Number Ten Ox.

Is there any such thing as One/Eight fluff?
Mr. Bagthorpe/Miles Vorkosigan. No. Fucking. Way. In. Hell.

Suggest a title for a Seven/Twelve hurt/comfort fic.
Mugen/Sesshoumaru. Er *boggles* At His Mercy? That sucks; I'm no good at titles, usually.

What kind of plot device would you use if you wanted Four to deflower One?
Howl/Mr. Bagthorpe. Well, they both have that heartless self-interest thing going on, but frankly I can't figure it out.

Does anyone on your friends list read Seven slash?
Mugen? I would be surprised if a lot of them didn't, actually.

Does anyone on your friends list read Three het?
Alice? DUnno; I dont' know if there's any sort of fandom there.

Does anyone on your friends list write or draw Eleven?
Integra Hellsing. Probably, although I'm not sure who. Wouldn't be surprised.

Would anyone on your friends list write Two/Four/Five?
Mello/Howl/Paarfi. FUCK NO.

What might Ten scream at a moment of great passion?
Number Ten Ox. In my evil moments: "Master Li!" In my not-so-evil moments, probably just "Unh." XD

If you wrote a song-fic about Eight, which song would you choose?
Miles Vorkosigan. No clue.

If you wrote a One/Six/Twelve fic, what would the warnings be?
Mr. Bagthorpe/Haruko/Sesshoumaru. THIS IS A CRY FOR HELP SHOOT ME PLEASE.

What might be a good pick-up line for Two to use on Ten?
Mello/Number Ten Ox *blink* *blink* *blink* *head asplodey*

When was the last time you read a fic about Five?
Paarfi. The last time I read one of that particular series. :)

Ahaha. I love this meme.

Would anyone on your friends list write Two/Four/Five?
Mello/Howl/Paarfi. FUCK NO.

Oh-HO! A challenge!
XDDDD

I HAVE MY FINGERS IN MY EARS AND I AM SINGING LALALALALALALALALA VERY VERY LOUDLY.

[identity profile] codfishbunny.livejournal.com 2005-08-26 11:01 pm (UTC)(link)
This meme is simultaneously the best thing and the most disturbing thing EVAR.

[identity profile] telophase.livejournal.com 2005-08-26 11:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Isn't it? Especially since they're so diverse? XD

[identity profile] mscongeniality.livejournal.com 2005-08-26 11:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow...that's some head-hurty right there.

Perfect icon for the post, though.

[identity profile] telophase.livejournal.com 2005-08-26 11:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Yup, that icon pretty much describe my reaction to most of these. :)

I think it's pretty scary that Alice/Number Ten Ox is the most plausible of all of them.

[identity profile] mscongeniality.livejournal.com 2005-08-26 11:34 pm (UTC)(link)
...

Frighteningly, it is.

Does anyone on your friends list write or draw Eleven?

[identity profile] telophase.livejournal.com 2005-08-27 12:48 am (UTC)(link)
XD

That's a really nice one, too. :D

!

So you know, there are apparently five more questions (http://www.livejournal.com/users/yahtzee63/197157.html?thread=5023525#t5023525) to this meme.

[identity profile] i-smile.livejournal.com 2005-08-27 06:17 am (UTC)(link)
Number Ten Ox isn't really an ox, is it?

This meme is not all bad: it gave me Mitani/Mello, and if there is anything more appropriate than that, I haven't seen it. :D

[identity profile] telophase.livejournal.com 2005-08-27 06:21 am (UTC)(link)
No, Number Ten Ox is a peasant who is sent to find a great sage after a mysterious plague is afflicting the children of his village, and he ends up with Master Li, who has a slight flaw in his character. :)

Barry Hughart. Bridge of Birds A tale of an ancient China that never was, and funny as hell.

[identity profile] i-smile.livejournal.com 2005-08-27 06:28 am (UTC)(link)
Sounds interesting! (Also, less scarring to think of Alice paired with a peasant than with an ox.) I'll have to see if we have it at our library.

[identity profile] fourthage.livejournal.com 2005-08-27 02:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Damn, I went and picked twelve characters and now I'm disturbed beyond all measure.
