AAARGH SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME THAT WHEN MY HEAD HAS BEEN HURTING ALL DAY AND ADVIL HAS NO IMPACT ON IT THAT IT IS OK TO TAKE THE MIGRAINE DRUGS.

I don't know why I have this thing about putting it off as long as possible. The headache is not the worst I've ever had, about 5/6 on the Mankowski Pain Scale, but constant nagging pain is still BAD.

I think I need a migraine icon. :/

Dude. Take the drugs. To be read with the same inflection with which Spouse says it to me whenever I, in fact, don't take the drugs. Somebody should learn from my mistakes.

Thank you. :D

Gaaaaaah. I think it's because I had one Sunday night, with drugs, and I've got this thing that OMG I shouldn't take that many that close togetehr !!!!11! But of course, I won't have one for 4-6 weeks, and then three next to each other; it's not like the next one will come any faster or slower if I don't take the drugs now.

Exactly. I get a menstrual migraine like clockwork, then sinus migraines when the air pressure really changes, and I've been known to resist taking the drugs for the menstrual migraine because a sinus one could hit in the same week. Spouse always says that's a stupid excuse for masochism.

Someone.

Right then. Ahem. "It is okay to take the migraine drugs."

Hope they kick in soon!

Thank you. :D I did take them and it's abated a bit, but more from the pwoer of suggestion than anything else, I think. XD Usually takes about 2 hours to kick in.

I tell you this from 26 years of accumulated experience:

TAKE THE DAMNED DRUGS.

if you wait too long, they don't work.

I need to tattoo that on my forehead so I take them as soon as I realize it's not a normal headache.

I tend to stick postits to the edge of the monitor, where I'll see them when I look up. They say things like:

Does it hurt?
then
Turn OFF computer
Stretch
Take the #%@& drugs

etc.

I don't know what advise to give you, but I hope you get better not matter what :)

I'm sorry. :-( I hope it's gotten better now.

Isn't it better to take the drugs the instant your head starts hurting, to stave off the migraine at the pass? I suspect that's probably better for you as well-- it can't be healthy to have the blood vessels in your head dilated or constricted or whatever it is that causes migraines.

The problem is that I have to make sure it's not a regular headache first - my migraines start off the same as regular ones, and many of them I only know they're migraines by the fact that Advil doens't work. (the otehr times I get sick to my stomach, and they're easy to identify).

The (remote possibility) potential hazards of Relpax are heart damage, heart attacks, and death, so you can see why I want to make sure it's a migraine. :)

I think it's dialted blood vessels for migraines.
