Just learned this...

...if someone sends you a bunch of images in a .docx Word doc, you can change the .docx to .zip and treat it like a zip file to get at the original pics.

If this works, it will make my job so much easier.

Oo! I'll have to try that. I've been saving as HTML and then picking through subfolder of image files for the one I want.

Just tried it, and yup: you go into [name].zip -> word -> media, and there they are.

I've spent eight years of trying to get people to attach images instead of dropping them into Word docs, with only minor success. I'll take what I can get at this point.

It ended up working for me! On my work computer, which is Windows 7, I believe, after changing the extension, go into [name].zip -> word -> media and it's there. Did not try at home, mostly because I use OpenOffice on my Mac.
