1) Pip Bernadette from Hellsing.

2) Howl and Sophie from Howl's Moving Castle.

3) OK, to make a Naruto costume the least bit noticeable these days, when you can't throw a brick at a con without hitting half-a-dozen Sasukes, you have to do something special, like this Gaara in mid-transformation.

4) Black Jack! A classic.

5) Sesshoumaru in dog form.

6) Inspector Gadget.

7) Walter from Hellsing. XD


After looking at picture after picture of coplayers, you get a bit jaded. :)

Hey, Old Lady Sophie. Nice. And I admire that dog Sesshoumaru. It's a pretty good costume, and it must be hell to wear.

All these pictures of the BCC are making me nostalgic as hell. I wish I could have gone this year--but it was too far, too expensive, and I don't have my con partner anyway. ::sigh::

My desire to cosplay was always thwarted by three things: 1) I'm lazy, 2) I can't sew anything more complicated than a buttonhole, and 3) I'm blind as a bat without my glasses, and I refuse to wander around a crowded building without them. If you won't take off your glasses, there aren't very many anime characters to cosplay.

The two times I cosplayed, I took off my glasses when there was a camera pointed my way, but left them on otherwise.

I like sewing for costuming; I just don't like sewing for anything normal.

So, what anime/manga do you think is going to win the most cosplayers this year? It was a tight race between Naruto and FMA at Anime Boston.

I'm thinking it's still Naruto by a hair, but FMA second and Bleach coming a close third. Next year, FMA over Naruto, possibly Bleach being the top.

Two other tactics that work:

1) going to the parent directory, scrolling down to the appropriate image link, and clicking it.

2) following telophase's link and hitting page refresh when you get the forbidden message.
