BPAL review: Jester

Jester
BPAL description: From the Illyria collection. Huckleberry and red currant with the incisive bite of neroli.

In vial: Berry Kool-Aid.

Wet: Berry, with a note of something kinda musky.

Dry: The berries settle as it dries, as does the musk, although the musk stays stronger than the berries do.

Notes: Cat sniffed with mild interest, then went "Whatever" and ignored me. I've been noticing that there's something I'm mildly allergic to in most of these, that expresses itself by stuffing my nose up as I test the scents. If I stop smelling my wrists for a bit, the stuffiness goes away - a bit; I spend a good portion of my life stuffed up - but sniffing it brings it back. I'll have to go back through and test and see if I can come up with anything they have in common. The stuffiness is extra-pronounced on this one, so it's a no. Luckily the scent isn't so lovely that I must have it. I can sort-of detect that the berries are still there, but that's really all I can say.

Yai. I'm sorry this is happening to you. :-/

The neroli comes out more strongly on me--this is a berry scent I like, but am not rabid about. I hope you manage to narrow down what's causing the allergic reaction.

You cut these because you are sensitive to those of us who are both suggestible and scent-oriented, so we don't have to read them if we're not in the mood to imagine certain categories of scent.

Or at least that was my assumption! Much appreciated!

I've just added a field to my spreadsheet - it's my librarian coming out that I must have a spreadsheet to organize this information and I am just barely holding myself back from designing a database - for allergic reactions and tested Silk Road - it makes my nose stuff up a little bit, and it clears fairly quickly afterwards, not anywhere near as bad a reaction as Jester.

Of course Silk Road doens't actually have any of its ingredients listed, so that's not much good. XD

That sounds like a very good reason and I shall adopt it! Glad it helps!
