I've read the first two of the Lady Emily Ashton mysteries and have just started the third, A Fatal Waltz.

Er. There's a hell of a lot of Misunderstandings and Jealousies going on right now, such that it feels like a third-rate romance. Have any of you out here read it? Does it get better? What about the next books in the series? I enjoyed the first two, and had thought I might have a few more books of enjoyableness to go, but not if she's going to resort to crappy antics to draw out the resolution of the love arc for Lady Emily.

I read and greatly enjoyed the first 2 books roughly when they came out, but got sidetracked and never got back to them.

Alas, that's pretty much what my mother said (with the addition of her picking up the latest book from the library and not really getting in to it), so I still don't know if book 3 gets any better.

I suppose I could poke around on GoodReads and see if anyone mentions it.
