It's international book week. The rules: Grab the closest book to you, turn to page 52, post the 5th sentence. Don't mention the title. Copy the rules as part of your post.

"The hole in the center of the food processor workbowl makes it impossible to soak the bowl before washing it."

If you must know, the solution to plugging the hole is to set an empty 35mm film canister upside down over it, which is starting to seriously date this book as most people don't use film anymore.

Pennies? Srsly. Roomie should be fired.

Also makeshift pill containers. And other odds and ends holders. But primarily quarter containment, yes. :)

"But... but you're the Protector!" Clinkscales protested, turning back to his liege, and Benjamin shrugged.

The proponents of advertising in the schools argue that it is necessary to prevent further cutbacks; opponents contend that schoolchildren are becoming a captive audience for marketers, compelled by law to attend school and then forced to look at ads as a means of paying for their own education.

While I don't miss film, I do kind of miss the canisters. They were useful! And I don't take enough prescription meds to make up the difference in pill bottles!

They were perfect for holding laundry quarters in the dorms. Which is also, I am given to understand, going the way of the film canister as more and more schools are installing ones that'll read your ID card and charge you that way.
