BPAL review: Peitho

I was a bit leery to start with, because of the musk in it.

Peitho

BPAL description: From the Excolo collection. The Goddess of Persuasion, Seduction and Sexual Wiles. A member of Aphrodite’s retinue, she is also Aphrodite’s daughter and sister to Tyche and Eunomia. Lusty myrtle and jasmine with red sandalwood, stargazer lily, and clove over an opulent, rich bed of warm musk and bourbon vanilla.

In vial: Light floral, touch of musk.

Wet:Florals smoothing out nicely, musk is not really noticeable. Sort of grandmotherly in tone. Starts getting powdery and warm as the vanilla comes out - kinda nice.

Dry: Vanilla -- nice. Hints of floral and maybe a touch of the musk but luckily on this one, the musk isn't coming out to play. The vanilla fades a bit after a while, though, leaving a warm, powdery floral behind. Luckily, I like powder.

Notes: Cat sniffed politely a couple of times, then went to eat food. I was very nervous abut the musk after the Spellbound debacle last night, but THANK GOD the musk didn't come out. Again, this is a nice scent that I'm not going to put on my MUST BUY NOW list, but if a bottle comes my way I won't turn it down, either.

I think vanillas will do very well on me. Vanilla, chocolate, and nuts. Obviously, my best perfume? BROWNIES.
