I watched the video assuming I wouldn't notice anything because the last contact I had with horses was 30 years ago, and dude...!

I have a friend who trains on Icelandics and yeah, they are seriously into the whole tolt thing as a separate gait. Because it is! And because it's awesome.

Fascinating! I *adore* gaited horses. I used to ride Missouri foxtrotters with a friend who owned two, and they were so wonderful. Icelandic ponies are my dream horses. They can carry LOTS of weight, so my size wouldn't be a problem for them, and they're short enough to make it easier on my bad knees to get up. And they're so cute and the tolt gait is so smooth. They don't look weird to me!
