Well, when I said yesterday that I didn't have a migraine I was a little premature. :) A headache started coming, and ibuprofen did nothing for it, so I went to the promethazine, which knocked it out. But still way better than my previous state, in which 10 minutes of work in the heat outside meant an all-day migraine.

And in other news, I've been making Toby watch Trigun as we bike. :) We don't have the TV in back set up with a Netflix-streaming-capable device at the moment, so we've improvised with an iPad set up on a music stand. It works so far.

We're 5 episodes in, and I am feeling incredibly nostalgic as Trigun was the first anime I ever downloaded. :D

I remember Trigun! Ages since I watched it though. As in, a decade. Tempus fugit...

It's been over a decade here! I downloaded it from a low-bandwidth FTP site a friend managed, and had to kludge together some sort of viewer with codecs to be able to hook the subtitle file up to the video! And it displayed in a tiny window on my monitor.

It was shortly after that I discovered the underground VHS tape-trading and buying community and dropped a lot of money on crappy videotapes of badly-translated anime.

It's funny you say that... just last week I finally got my son to start watching Trigun. He had put up a fight, wanting to watch Naruto or Card Captor Sakura for the nth time, but now he loves it. These boys of ours need to trust our judgement a bit more, ne?

Also got my roommate to send you a lil sumthin, should arrive this week.

Yup! XD I need to get Toby to watch some more Fullmetal Alchemist - we watched the first ep and it was really slow. He says he trusts me that it will get better and RIP YOUR HEART OUT, but he's not particularly enthusiastic so far. I'd just leap to Brotherhood, but I haven't seen it yet and I'm feeling weirdly like I ought to rewatch FMA before I start the reboot.
