BPAL review: Gluttony

BPAL decription: From the Sin and Salvation collection. Thick, sugared and bloated with sweetness. Dark chocolate, vanilla, buttercream, and hops with pralines, hazelnut, toffee and caramel.

This one was my freebie: someone obviously looked at all the ones I'd ordered and noted they all had food of some kind in ther descriptions - chocolate, nuts, fruits, and so on, and tossed this in to make a thematic statement. XD

In vial: Chocolate and nuts.

Wet: Some strong note I can't identify that fades into a nutty smell. Faintly chocolate, but the chocolate is overpowered by the nuts.

Dry: A bit of roasted nuts, smooth with a frisson of a minty scent, and then the chocolate reasserts itself a bit. With a hint of floral. Again, this is another one that has that smell I associate with incense - I'll have to compare them and see if there's anything they have in common. Hour and a half later, it's a nice light but still rich, faintly chocolate smell.

Notes: First order - extra. Cat actually got up and walked away, although she may have been more tired of me shoving my wrist in her face than anything else. I like it more as the scent develops. Can't decide whether I want to keep this imp or offer it for a swap. XD

It greatly amuses me that in your reviews of these perfumes, you put what you're cat's reaction was. *grins*

XD Got the idea from [livejournal.com profile] oyceter, who runs them by her rats. My cat's reactions aren't as entertaining as theirs, more on the order of "WTF? What are you doing? Move your hand!" and "Euw!" Hers at least decide "food" or "not food."
