Also...

I meant to post this yesterday, but forgot. The man standing in back of yesterday's entry on Great Masters Disasters reminds me very strongly of someone, but I cannot place him. I'm not sure if it's an actor or other entertainer, or someone I've met in real life. Does he strike a bell for anyone else?

(The seated goldsmith is, naturally, a relative of CiarĂ¡n Hinds.)

So I'm enjoying those, and have looked at every single one, and voted where there was voting to do.

But I just noticed that for some reason, the little info blocks for each of the pictures claim that every one of them is by Artemisia Gentileschi. It's really obvious on the monthly archive page.

Maybe that field is filling out from what was supposed to be the blogger's ID?

(Or is this a case of stupid cho and her stuffy head forgetting something about why they're like that?)

(Also, your link to the site is borked in this LJ/DW entry.)

Ah - that's the name of the author of the post. Which is, at the moment, Artemisia Gentileschi because I couldn't come up with a good art-related pun on the order of "Helen Killer" for Regretsy. If you hover over the larger versions, it also claims that they're copyright 2011 to Artemisia Gentileschi (except for the few I attempted to put info in), which is annoying. I'm loath to make substantial changes in the coding of the theme, as it's a premium theme I bought and if the theme author makes changes they'll wipe out the ones I make when it updates. So ... I need to look into way's to treat that, like changing the "By [post author]" to "Posted by [post author]" and getting rid of the copyright notice on the image because all these pictures are out of copyright anyway.

I think I may dump the voting, because it's a hassle to add Yet One More Element to the post. If I get more bloggers, so UI don't have to do five a week, or figure out a way to streamline the posting it might come back. I feel pretty strongly about keeping the painting information and the Further Reading sections in, as it kind of makes it almost educational.

Aaaand the link borking would explain why I'm not seeing clicks from this post on my stats page! XD
