Minekura does indeed draw her characters with knobbly, creased wrists -- you can see in this image (http://www.steelypips.org/miscellany/saiyuki/5-27-105.jpg) scanned in by kate_nepveu for her analysis of volume 5 here (http://www.livejournal.com/users/kate_nepveu/117087.html). Gojyo looks like he's wearing a baggy glove/sleeve combo in that one. XD
