Mutant!
The mutant acorn I picked up when walking back to the library from lunch, with my thumb for comparison. The acorn's at least twice as big as the usual run of acorns we get around here.

That one's large? Looks normal to me. :) (We have a lot of live oak here.) What sorts of oak trees do you have locally, if you happen to know?
