The public library just emailed me to let me know I can check books out on the Kindle! No more squinting at my tiny phone screen reading books! (Well, except that they don't have *all* ebooks in the Kindle version but I'll live.)
In my library system, I've noticed that the epub books all have Kindle versions but the pdf books don't. I don't really understand why that is but I'm excited at the prospect of getting Kindle books from the library!
I was so excited when I found out that I could read library epubs on my iTouch. They return themselves! (I think? It's Overdrive, I don't really know the details.) So convenient!
Yup, they do; we use Overdrive also! I just find it sad that for lots of books in my library, there's only a 14-day check-out period so if I read it fast, I can't return it early to get it to anyone else who wants to read it. At least sometimes there's an option to check it out for 7, 14, or 21 days.
Oh, man, I had thought that was just me being totally inept in not being able to figure out how to return something early for the next person in queue. Ours seems to default to 21 days, too.
