Although my rational brain understands that the finches on the windowsill today were merely exploring the area for more food, I like to think that they've connected the bird feeder being filled with the large bipedal animals on the other side of the glass, and were sitting there looking for me to come out and fill the empty feeder.

Sora spotted them also, and scared them off by slinking across the floor to the window and popping his head up for a closer look.

No, you're not imagining it. They do learn that people = food, and chickadees especially can be very cute about telling you they want more seeds out here NOW; they'll even land on the feeder while you're carrying or filling it.
