Toby spotted a woodpecker on our finch feeder this morning. The camera didn't catch it as the feeder is just a hair too far away, but I'm now wondering if the tree that half died in last year's drought (literally--the east half is bursting with leaves but the west half is leafless, with peeling bark) is now a woodpecker habitat. I will consider it a fair trade if so.
