Ten things I've done that others might not have

In no particular order, and split into a few posts because as anyone who's emailed me knows, I can't write a few words when I could write a hundred.

So much from Africa ... I've got a box of the letters Mom wrote to both sets of grandparents. One of my "One Of These Days" projects is to type them in and do ... well, something-or-other with them.

The end.

In case anyone's interest is piqued about my Africa posts, I've got about ten of my mom's letters typed up and posted on the Web. That site is waaaaaay out of date - I think the letters were the last things I put up, back in 2002, so don't judge me too harshly by it. :) One day I'll finish the rest of the letters!

Anyway you can see that I was artistically talented from an early age! Thrill to my excruciatingly detailed portrayal of a giraffe with an oxpecker on its back! And another version of that same theme! And then I chose to break with that school of art and portray a genet cat! Surely, you can all see the seeds of greatness inherent in my earliest works!

I also think that one of the two letters up what I wrote all my ownself at the tender age of five is disturbingly poetical. I quote:

12 July, 1975

Dear Mimiand
PawPaw

I wish
you could
come
and see
serengeti
a genet comes
on my porch at
night. we feed it.

Love Stepha
