Got to clean fossils today. Or a fossil. From an Alaska dig. I've already forgotten what dinosaur it came from, but it's something *big*. My particular lump of fossil is about a foot long and 8" or so in diameter, and it's almost all bone. They have these stylus-things that connect to a compressed-air hose. The tips vibrate, and that's what you use to dig the rock out. Doesn't take hardly any pressure at all to get rid of the rock, and the air blowing at the same time blows the dust and rock bits away.

Anyone know of a good inexpensive clinic-type place in town? I've got a stupid migraine again, and I swore to myself that the next time it happened I'd go to a doctor, but OF COURSE it didn't happen again until I graduated and no longer had student health insurance. I've currently got catastrophic-only insurance, which is basically insurance with a $5000 deductible. I'm sure I can winkle doctor fees out of my mother (she's rather nice that way), but I'd rather not spend $150 on a visit...
