If anyone would like their very own random word from the Oxford English Dictionary online edition, just comment here with an email address. You'll get access to the OED definition of that word for three days. :) (They only keep the addresses to ensure that 'inappropriate use' of the dictionary - probably exactly like this - isn't happening. You won't get OED spam. :))

OK, it's doing that because it's going through the EZproxy server at TCU, which is how we control access to the various databases we're subscribed to. I have no idea why the fuck it did that wiht the link to you - I just tested it on me and it sent the word to me just fine (the URL the page showed me had the EZproxy address on it, but the link that arrived in the mail didn't. However, remove this:
.ezproxy.tcu.edu
from the URL and it should work just fine.
