What I learned today

In a pinch, a rubber band works as a surprisingly effective eraser.

Hopefully you'll elaborate on this one when you have time later. Rubber Band eraser? Say what?

Nothing horribly weird. I was making a sign and used a pencil to lightly letter it, then went over then with Sharpie. I realized we didn't have any erasers, but that we did have rubber bands, so I wadded one up and tried it out. It worked remarkably well, and erased the pencil marks.

That's completely unexpected! I'll have to try that out sometime.

Highly useful information!

I did not know this was not more widely known. You can wrap the elastic around and around the top of the pencil in a sort of ball to make a pencil-topper eraser, too. I inherited a few such at my previous job.
