Poster

The athletics department of the school I work at makes posters every year with the schedules of various competitions on them, featuring photographs of current student athletes, and I have to say that I especially love the ones that feature women, because they always emphasize power, strength, and determination, just like the men's sports posters do, and don't sexualize them.

For instance, look at this one, which I snapped with my phone on the wall of a local restaurant:



It's an actual photo, despite the compression from my phone making it look painted. :D Anyway, I just love the intense pose and expression on her face, brought out by the dramatic lighting.

I'm going to have to see if I can get my hands on some posters when the next batch come out. I've got a very large window in my office that looks out into the stacks and could do with something in it. (it's got blinds, which I keep closed, but they're boring to look at from the outside)

I know! It makes me almost like sports! XD

There was a volleyball poster a couple of years ago that was good, too - it had, I think, 3 women on it, and they all looked strong and powerful. You could see the size of their legs and arms and know there was muscle under there.

I finally found where they sell the posters (http://tcu-publications.cbscollegestore.com/), but alas there's nothing spectacular up at the moment. I'll have to wait until the fall posters come out.

I found where they sell them (http://tcu-publications.cbscollegestore.com/), but alas there's nothing like this up there. I shall have to check back closer to fall, when the schedules come out.
