Toto, my brother's cat, did that. The kids would carry him around all dangly-legs style and do other sorts of things to him, and he'd just be chill.

Now that he's at our house (they moved to a house next to a highway and Toto is a cat that likes to explore) and has been thoroughly spoiled, he won't take being tortured so much. But he is the sort to let them know with a bat or a nom. He likes to cuddle with the kids when they're there, and we've been cuddled extensively as well.

I suspect that Sora would not be this sort of cat if confronted with a child. XD

One of our cats is deathly afraid of the kids, which is hilarious because my niece is convinced that Cleo is going to hurt her.

.... then again, she's convinced that Cleo's black too, when Cleo's a grey cat.

In later videos, when the kid is talking age, he calls the cat "oniichan" and I died of cute.

That is freakishly adorable.

I'm kind of amazed that the parents allowed this to happen, because wow, most cats would NOT put up with that shit! But this is one placid cat.

It's really funny how determined the kid is to nom on the cat's tail. And at one point I think he's trying to share his new chew-toy with the kitty himself! XD

My BFF's childhood cat was like this. Super patient. I remember my friend and I would just carry her around like that, legs danging. When we were very small, we'd try to dress her up in clothes and blankets, poke her, put her into things...every childlike method of kitty-torment you could think of! She just let it happen. She NEVER snapped at us, and rarely even ran away. She was just cool with everything.

If you watch more of the vids this parent posted, you'll see that the cat is intentionally participating and playing with the kid. The cat could walk away, but it offers its tail again and again as a playtoy! Fabulous sibling. Wonder if this is becoming common in Japan as more and more parents opt for an only child... I've read that pets are becoming increasingly popular.

I so second the nomination.

(Also, if you ever again get a chance to use the tag "my god that's a patient cat," I shall be impressed.)

Yes, but look at THIS video of the same couple

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. Obviously the cat is really quite alright with it all.
