What should I eat for lunch? (Or dinner)

Any just saying "food" will be ignored.

It's Saturday: takeout BBQ meat fest if you're hungry NOW.

If you're shopping anyway, though, hmmm---how about a pita sandwich with rare roast beef and watercress, possibly a slice of cheese too, a little mustard....

There was a recipe in a diet book we tried several years ago that I really liked and have brought back now that I'm trying to eat fewer non-whole grain grains. (One of the low carb, low fat ones -- ridiculously low number of calories per day if you only eat what they consider to be a serving at each meal, but most of the meals say to eat as much of the protein options and veggies as you want, so it's not so bad.)

Anyway, the recipe involves steaming/blanching some green beans and putting them in a bowl, adding a sensible amount of cottage cheese, slicing two hard-boiled eggs on top, and then throw on some slices of tomato marinaded in balsamic vinegar (I add a bit of pepper and garlic/garlic salt.) It looks really pretty and tastes good. The recipe may have also suggested eating a slice or two of whole grain bread with this; I can't remember.

Sashimi?

Dry rub?

Enchiladas verdes?

Trail chili?

Tomato-basil soup and crusty bread?

Grilled salmon and asparagus?

Spring mix salad with grilled chicken and raspberry vinaigrette?

Crab cakes with remoulade?

Regret, gently fried with a nice ennui sauce.
