According to the unattributed news snippet posted in the comments, probably lightning. We've been having the annual spring thunderstorms (and associated tornado watches and warnings), so I expect that's probably the case.

I'm amazed, and, sadly, shouldn't be, at how quickly the conspiracy theorists crawled out of the woodwork over this one. *twitch*
