Is anyone here with a digital camera going to be in a hotel room sometime in the next three weeks?

Yes, I know that sounds odd, but I need very good photo ref - i.e., I sketch out the angles and point-of-view and someone takes those exact photos - and I'm not going to be near a hotel room for months to come. the digital camera thing is so that I can get them ASAP.

It would be ideal if you had a laptop and a net connection at said hotel so I couild look at the pics, then ask for any corrections or new angles I might need, but that's a best-case scenario.

Will also probably be asking for other photo ref in the near future, so if you can't supply a hotel room, then something else might be right up your alley. :)

Sadly, I'm going to be nowhere near a hotel room at any point in the near future, or I'd certainly offer up my services. I'll keep my eyes peeled for your other wishlist items, though and see what I can do for you. I'm quite happy to do it, as it gives me practice too.

I am recently armed with a digital camera, knowledge about photography, and will be in a hotel room around the last few weeks of August. I also have a fairly small room, if you just need angles that include a bed/wall/windows. If I can help out in any way, let me know, I'd love to have an excuse to take pictures of any kind.

Oh, cool, that'd be great. I have to rough out the scene first, to see what angles and POVs I'm going to need, and hope to do that this weekend. I might ask you to see if you can get a friend to stand or sit in a shot or two for scale - they won't go into it, but it helps to have an idea of how a human figure fits in.

*heh* Unfortunately, when I'll be staying at the hotel, only one of my friends will be male and willing. However, if I manage to get a hold of one of my other friends in person, I may indeed be able to easily convince him snogging with his boyfriend for artistiic reference is a great idea. I will be at Otakon, after all, so who knows... I also have some -female- friends who won't be at the hotel room (heh) but who'd be more then willing to pose, if you just need general forms/perspectives/overlapping.

XD Then I'd be glad to see what I can do. I've already asked, and my friends seem to be delighted to help out. (...I'm going to feel like a very very strange sort of photography once all of this is done, I can just tell. XD)So just let me know what sort of things you need.

OK, cool. I hope to get the roughs worked out this weekend, and can get you (messy) scans of the sort of thing I'm looking for. I know the room you get will be different from whatever I'm conceptualizing, but you'll have an idea of what's going on in the scene, and the sort of things I need. :)

Forgive me if this is stating the obvious, but have you tried looking at hotel websites? They usually have photos of sample guest rooms on them.

I am currently camera-free, due to some sort of bizarre error that won't let it write to the cards. :) My next large purchase will be a new camera, but that may have to wait until after Labor Day, where my art table at AnimeFest will hopefully pull in enough to cover a large portion of the cost.
