(I usually do them early, as I'm usually getting money back. Toby, OTOH, does his at the last minute because he usually has to pay. XD)

Isn't that how it's normally done? Last year was the first time I'd ever submitted my taxes early because I knew I'd be getting a refund!

I used to just push it off for as long as possible because I just hated having to get everything together, including the previous year's tax info, and doing it. Now I use an online tax-prep thing which imports my info in from last year and can suck my employer's W-2 info down from their servers, and it's much less hassle. XD

I was ready to do them last week, but had to wait for my bank to send me information on my earned interest (a whopping $29, as it turned out).

I usually *calculate* mine early to find out how much I need to put aside by April, sigh.

I'm pretty much guaranteed to have money coming back because I have them withhold extra. That policy was instituted after my first couple of years selling at conventions, when I was badly surprised by how much self-employment tax was. XD I'm getting back a lot more this year, since I didn't do any cons last year, but forgot to stop the withholding.

I got my student loan interest statement and W2 fairly early this year; it was just my interest statement from my bank that came in today. Yay!
