Just passed Johnny Reb's Dixie Cafe.

It makes me want to wander in and ask if they allow colored people to sit at the lunch counter or not. :/

My state does have some good points. Some places more than others.

Texas has good points, but the state is large, so they are all spread out.

I was a little worried when a place I'd read about here that had Arkansas barbecue was called Southern Heritage. But it turned out to be run by a (perfectly sane, other than that whole restauteuring thing) black family. Phew...

I made a point of looking at that the last time i was in there. Except for myself and two waitresses, none of the clientele was white.

They make a damn good chicken fried steak.
