Kindle owners!

At the moment, Kindle has a large number of free books from Kaplan, the educational publisher, available. Some of them are just samplers, but others are the whole thing. (And again, you don't need a Kindle if you've got the Kindle app on your computer or smartphone.)

ETA: [livejournal.com profile] ms_congeniality reports that they are also available to Nook owners until 1/17.

ETA2: The samplers I saw are actually other publishers whose books are mixed in with the Kaplans. :D

Here's a URL. (http://www.barnesandnoble.com/ebooks/category.asp?PID=37049&start=1&cds2Pid=37049) I can't tell if the content completely overlaps, but I'm guessing it's close.

THANK YOU! You discovered the motherlode of true medical tales from the trenches - a genre I adore.

Me, too! One day back in middle school I borrowed The Making of a Woman Surgeon from a friend, and never looked back.

Yes! And law enforcement stories, which I both find interesting and which are bang-on perfect research for the next book.

I wonder if the Cleveland Clinic Guides are any good. Well, they're free, so I'll snag some....

Thanks!

Oh, awesome. My dad will DEFINITELY be interesting in this; he's cheap and adores his Kindle! XD

Thanks for the heads-up!
