And more Assassin's Creed

I was commenting that the Borgias hired the stupidest men in town to be guards after Toby popped a guard captain, who fell in the water, and three of his men threw themselves in after him and then couldn't find Ezio. And then it hit me: the Borhias are running some sort of WPA program where any man able-bodied enough to stand uptight is issued a uniform and a weapon and sent off to guard an explosives-laced tower.

So Ezio is probably working against the best issues of the populace here. Typical upper-class nob.

The Borgias running a charity? Naahhhh. More likely it's a way to clear the crap out of the gene pool. "Hey, we've got to get rid of all these congenital idiots. Let's hire them all to guard one of our spare towers, tell the local crooks there's something / someone important in there, and let the assassins get rid of the deadwood. As a bonus we can get rid of pervy Uncle Guido, too!"

I just watched a cut scene that left me in no doubt that the Borgias have no problem whatsoever with pervy Uncle Guido. XD

Well, they don't have a problem with him being pervy - it's because he's in the line of inheritance before they are.
