Update...
Computer wiped, Win7 installed. Also installed so far: Firefox, ClamWin AntiVirus, and iTunes. For once, iTunes worked like it ought to, and automagically found the iTunes library and music that I'd moved over from the external backup drive. Woo!
Naturally, what we *forgot* to do before wiping and installing was to deauthorize Audible and iTunes accounts, so I am fast approaching my limits on the number of devices I can use with them. Oof. (I happen to have two of each: Mom and I used to share an account, so I have books from that, and now Toby and I have our own account, so I have books from there. And I've got two iTunes accounts because I got one and bought a few tracks, and then forgot I had it after not buying anything for over a year and created a new iTunes account. And they can't combine them. Sigh.)
Shortly, to bed. Tomorrow's adventures will include installing Adobe CS5 stuff and other programs that I can remember.
