Quick RPG character types!

This may end up being Yet Another Project that Goes Nowhere, but I've been thinking of creating a few simple RPG-type character portraits up for adoption on Ellen Million Graphics' Portrait Adoption Page. It should hopefully get me back into painting again* and maybe eventually earn a few bucks for my trouble without the pressures involved in commissions.**

At any rate, a few ideas for character types that are slightly more complicated than "human ranger" but less complicated than a full-blown character portrait would be appreciated. (And yes I'll be hitting the generators over at Seventh Sanctum for ideas!) I'm just thinking of simple head or head-and-bust portraits, not anything more full-length than that. Any sort of genre is good, although the ones on that site tend to be generic medieval rather than SF, horror, or modern-day.

Thanks!

ETA: And searching through Morguefile.com for "portrait" turns up some excellent candidates for models...this guy could easily be your traditional wizard, while this guy looks like a successful merchant or corpulent mercenary to me.

* I know there's a few people out there waiting on me to do art for them! Not to mention my Yuletide assignment...

** I seem to mostly fail at doing those.

What is the status of the 1 day crafty exchange thing?

Database created, scripts partially written (form done, submitting script half-done as I've got it pulling data from the form and running the data through a function to clean it up to help against SQL injection attacks, but I haven't written the SQL that puts it *into* the database yet). I am currently procrastinating working on them. :D

It will happen.* It may not happen exactly in December - we're going to want to allow, like, a month for people to create their gifts which means I'd have to have the scripts up and running and tested in the next week to allow for enough time to get the submissions and then match them and allow of all the little things that will go wrong to go wrong. I don't think I can get them done quite that fast. :)

* Because there are other people involved to push me, unlike personal projects that require me to supply my own motivation, which frequently fail.

Ah, ok. I mean I was totally not worried you had abandoned the project or anything. While I would have loved it in time for xmas, maybe it will work best at a less hectic time.
