Monday and Tuesday

Monday took the train to Swansea and thence on to Tenby. Walked around Tenby in the afternoon--nice holiday town that would be a good place to base exploration of the area. Today we were picked up by our guide and drove around a lot of South Wales, including Carmarthen where I went to school, and are now ensconced in our room in Cardiff.

And what we thought might be allergies seems to be a cold instead, so I'm not going to type any more tonight and instead sit here and do nothing.

Where are you staying in Cardiff? Does it have wifi in the room? I stayed at the Park Inn, which didn't. I'd like to go back to Cardiff, but only to a place with wifi.

Something I forgot to mention before, and it may not help, but....
If you're looking to geek out on Doctor Who any more than you have already, peek at http://members.multimania.co.uk/rassilon/policebox/page3a.html which has info on actual police boxes still around England. I've got a photo of myself with the one at Weatherby Police Station. Nowhere near Cardiff, I'm afraid.

Although, I've heard rumors they parked one of their old filming props just outside the BBC offices in Cardiff, if you can find them.

A few years ago, when I was on vacation in Glasgow and had a nasty cold, I discovered a brand of fruit smoothies called Innocent drinks. They're very tasty, all fruit, and have amusing labels. If there's a supermarket near you you can get cartons of some of their drinks. I mention this because fruit juices are very soothing to my throat when it's sore, and possibly to yours.
