Poor guy doesn't realize he doesn't have them! (He sniffs Nefer's butt a lot, and we speculate that there's some tiny instinct telling him to check if she's in season, and we really hate to break the news to him...)
Re: Nefer has very definite ideas about what I should be doing at my desk.
Definitely not just a cat thing -- my old malamute used to walk over and nose my arms right off the keyboard and directly onto his head whenever he decided I'd spent too much time on the clickybox and not enough time petting the dog. (He was a big dog, I'm short, so when sitting at a desk my arms were at perfect nose-shoving height for him.)
My current pup, Miss B., is much smaller and less self-assured, so if I'm at the desk for too long she either comes over and whimpers a little, paws at the arm of my chair, or just gives me the Huge Beseeching Sad Eyes puppyface. But she is made mostly of neediness and velcro, so the best way I've found to avert that is just to stay on the couch with the laptop whenever possible, so she can happily snuggle up next to me while I clicky-clicky away.
Nefer has very definite ideas about what I should be doing at my desk.
At least she doesn't do what Hemi and Gatz do - walk slowly in front of the monitor and then PAUSE with their ass in my face.
To which I say "you make a better door than a window. Move your furry ass!"

Sora's job!
Even though we have a small data sample - maybe it's a boy cat thing!
OT, but
