...going through my random generators and fixing them, since Dreamhost changed the way PHP handles passing variables from page to page, so I have to add code to account for it. And I'm testing the random art prompt generator. And it produces...

Riff off of the theme of 'a friend of mine', while incorporating a field of roses and unicorns.

A field of roses would be a rather uncomfortable place to be - I love roses like the next gardener but they do have rather prominent thorns.

And we all know that unicorns are gentle and sweet if you're a virgin. What if you're not?

(I also wanted to ask: are you adding the 'crossposted to LJ' footer manually, or is there a setting for that that I've missed?)

It's a new setting - when you go to My Account Settings, click on the "Change" link for the account/s you're crossposting to. Check "Display Cross Post Links" and save. That should get it going - after it crossposts, it then edits the original DW post to add the URL of the cross post.

So where do I complain about the user interface

I had looked for the crossposting footer with the other footer - it hadn't occurred to me to go into the account setting, because previously that only said 'always crosspost' and 'save password'

Right now, the crossposting footer looks like an undocumented feature that you'll only use if you know it's there, which would be a shame.

(And argh, I had forgotten that my flower picture on DW is not the splendid Oranges and Lemons rose I use on LJ, so it seems slightly out of context.)

I only found it because it was in the weekly update last week, and I found it after someone else found it first and mentioned it. You can drop a note in the comments there - they monitor it for feedback.

ETA: Actually, the Suggestions Generator would probably be a better place to put it - it creates an entry for dw_suggestions, which goes into a mod queue and if it's not already posted, then gets posted, and people can discuss and vote on it, etc.
