YAY just bought plane tickets for the U.K. trip, whose price was cut almost by half because of credit-card points I'd been banking up. So one ticket ended up full price and the other was $197. XD

We fly out of here on October 5th and end up in London on the 6th, then return Oct 19th. Nothing else has been settled yet, but we've got a decent idea of our itinerary.

Congrats on the reduction. Remember to post another announcement to your flist two or three weeks ahead of the date. I'm in Oxford, so not completely out of meeting-up distance (and a very touristy spot, hint, hint), but if I make a note in my calandar now, I'll have forgotten it by then.

Yes! And it led to an easy gift - Mom transferred a chunk of her points to me to use. XD

I had to use them by the end of the month, too, because the program was changing and after April 1, I'd have to earn about 25% more points to get the same amount off.
