Viz is indeed on the case about the Bleach plagiarism, if you'll note this tweet.
And in other news,
myrialux and I just got back from Tao: The Martial Art of Drumming, which is a Japanese taiko group with a bit of modern flair. AWESOME. If they're anywhere near you on the rest of their tour, WELL WORTH GOING.
If you're like me and getting over a cold, bring a surgical mask. I was seized with a horrible, horrible coughing fit in the first half and had to leave the theatre for a while. Was perfectly fine through the intermission, and shortly after the second act started, I started coughing again. I finally realized it was due to the smoke machine they were using -- it was a subtle effect used for atmosphere and not OMG SMOKE, but it was enough to set off my primed-for-coughing lungs. And the guy behind us who reeked of cigar smoke wasn't helping, either. I'd placed a wad of toilet paper in my purse and spent the second half breathing through it, which kept me from coughing.
Anyway. Here's their site, and if you're in the eastern half of the US, you might get a chance to see them (they're already been through the western half). And if you're in Australia, they're coming there in June and July. Well worth it, if you like taiko drumming.

They don't have quite as many half-naked men beating on the drums as the Kodo Drummers do, but they make up for it by having big-haired women beating on the drums as well. XD
