Urrrgggh
Am now back to human again - yesterday I had a Migraine from Hell of the like I hadn't had since January 2007.
The sort where my head was nothing but PAIN and I couldn't keep anything down but water - even tea came back up.
myrialux was very nice and after I called in to the doctor for a prescription for an anti-nausea med, both browbeat Walgreen's for not checking their answering machine, where the prescription order had been left, and then went and picked it up for me.
Managed to keep the pill down, and after a short nap on the couch, awoke and hungrily ate cereal, then staggered back to the bedroom for five hours of sleep. Woke again at 9, emerged to drink water and tea (caffeine is also a vasoconstrictor, which helps with the pain), and eat a lovely balanced meal of bread-and-butter and bacon (for the protein shot, dont'cha know?). And then slept from 10:30 to 7:30 this morning.
Still at home as my head was hurting this morning, but I am actually eating and feeling hunger now, unlike yesterday. Another dose of Relpax took the pain away, hopefully for good. I'm still shaky, but that's probably due in part to not taking my Strattera yesterday morning (see that whole "not keeping anything down" thing), and the comedown from that is always Not Fun.
I'm doing better. In 2007, I didn't call in for an anti-nausea med until I hadn't had anything but water for 36 hours. Now I called in after 6. :) While I would still never want to experience migraine pain, migraine pain without nausea and puking is much better than migraine pain with.
And those times when my oversocialized self nags at me and tells me that no, I don't really have migraines, or that maybe I do but that others have it so much worse than I do, I can think back on this migraine and a couple of the others that I've had and go OH NO YOU DON'T and shove that little voice back into the closet for a while.

Been there, done that, and sometimes can't help still doing it with my own condition.

BTW, you have it MUCH worse than I do. I get nausea and dizziness, but it never seems to go so far as actually chucking up. *fingers crossed*
