I don't have it with me. I wrote it with a friend when we were 8 (illustrated! With crayons!) and his mom kept it. I moved away and we did not see each other for years. Then we ended up at the same college. Last month, I ran into him at the bus stop and he was like WAIT I HAVE OUR DINOSAUR BOOK

And I was like WHAT DINOSAUR BOOK

And he was like THE ONE WE MADE IN SECOND GRADE

And I was like WHAAAAAT

And he really did. He brought it to college with him. Coolest kid ever. I'm gonna have to get it from him later this week :DD

AWWWWW!

PS. Just got back and got the art! Thank you very much!

Great! The big picture was from a 16-year-old girl named Tay who had her first art table at AnimeFest a year before last. She wanted a print from my table, so I traded her a commission for it, and asked for Jordan and Rivas, loaning her a copy of PBR with the Relevant Pages carefully closed off with paper strips and tape. :D When I explained what I'd done, she said "I've seen all that on the internet," but I was all "Yeah, but you're SIXTEEN and your MOTHER is SITTING NEXT TO YOU!"

I had no ideas for poses, and apparently she didn't, either. :) I kept meaning to send it on to you, but it kept vanishing from my awareness for a year. :)

You actually mentioned this to me a while back, so I immediately knew what it was, though of course I'd totally forgotten by then.

[identity profile] telophase.livejournal.com 2009-11-10 01:17 am (UTC)(link)
I'd forgotten I'd done that!

All right!

(That's a truly awesome spelling of "earlier" ... .)

(I didn't figure what it was until I was typing it in and suddenly realize it was a fairly decent phonetic approximation. XD)

I'm pretty sure that the first story I ever wrote (when I was about six, too) was also about dinosaurs. Clearly this means we're brain twins. xD

[identity profile] telophase.livejournal.com 2009-11-10 02:56 pm (UTC)(link)
OF COURSE!

I have right here beside me a book of e.e. cummings' poetry, some of which looks very much just like that. In other words, you are a NATURAL POETIC GENIUS.

DAMN STRASIGHT I AM!

THEY DIDDIED OUT!!!!!

I am glad you transliterated it, because at first I thought it said "DIDDLED." And I had a wonderful image of the dinosaurs diddling out. (in a sort of conga line, you know?)

[identity profile] telophase.livejournal.com 2009-11-10 03:05 pm (UTC)(link)
I first read it as "diddled" also, however my brain went to a much different slang meaning. XD

we diddy out a lot, because we have a Diddy Car. No lie... It is my children's prefered mode of transport. "Can we go in the Diddle Widdle?" my idiot daughter says.
