I went to see The Men Who Stare at Goats (see my entries here and rachelmanija's review of the book here) last night, dragging myrialux with me. He liked it, and I enjoyed the hell out of it. He said it had pacing issues, and while I didn't notice them, I was already primed to fangirl at the movie just because I'd read the books and the military + paranormal absurdity is just hilarious.*

Now I just need people to help me stick to my resolve of NOT SIGNING UP FOR yuletide THIS YEAR because dear God do I want a story of it written for me, and it's on the list.




* Or the military + any absurdity, really. I imprinted on M*A*S*H at an early age.

Ffff, WASN'T IT AMAZING? I read a review somewhere titled, "Ewan McGregor Finally Makes a Decent Star Wars Movie" and I think that just captures it perfectly. I swear my heart grew three sizes after watching it.
