New spam anime!

Hey! Remember the post in which I used subject lines from spam e-mail as episode titles and the rest of you gladly helped me come up with episode descriptions? Well, as I've had a perfect storm of interesting spam subject lines lately (many truncated quotes, I believe), here's another round!



I think this one is a fantasy series, set at a school of magic bearing a faint resemblance to the school of a certain Boy Wizard we all know. Our Heroine who is totally not Hermione is there on a scholarship that is given to the occasional person from a non-magical background that exhibits signs of having talent. But that's all she's showing - signs, and not much progress. There is a hereditary elite set at this school, and as is the grand tradition of hereditary elite sets everywhere, don't think much of our scrappy little heroine and her apparent lack of talent.

I would think of a name for her, but as I'm suffering from lack of sleep, I'll let the first person to respond come up with it. :) That would be Thalia, and she has acquired a grumpy friend, Gin-kun!

(I see the first ep as being her intro to the school - she has to walk alone down a scary path into almost-impregnable woods until she comes upon the clearing in which sits the school.)

It's Thalia's third week of cleaning duty with with grumpy Gin-kun! "I'll never forgive you," Gin-kun swears, but it's half his fault too, you know. And how does a magic school accumulate so much dust?! But Märchen Tower is beautiful enough for a Rapunzel-princess. Ahhh, Thalia wants to visit there! Even with that No Entry sign, the Märchen Tower needs cleaning too! It's just a rumor that two people have died there, right? Come on, Gin-kun, spread your wings a little! octopedingenue

Wizard School is out for half-term and Thalia has invited her new friend to visit and experience life with a normal non-magical family. Unfortunately things start to go horribly wrong when Gin-kun's aunt Jobiska turns up unannounced as well and they have their work cut out for them trying to hide all the crazy magical problems she causes from the rest of the town! This isn't made any easier when aunt Jobiska slips a truth potion in to Gin-kun's drink... wyrdness

(I see these last four as forming a mini-arc - Our Heroine learns something about herself and maybe her background, becomes accepted by the snobby students - and in the final episode, rejects it.)

I couldn't decide on Japanese or Western names so in the end I just left them out XD Let's hope someone else can do better than me. :D

And I guess that's Thalia and Gin-kun. Woo! :D
