But all the blue and soothing wavy lines makes me sleeeepy, which is a problem I have with Mushishi as well. (Then somebody loses an eye again and I remember OH YEAH this is supposed to be horror. Horror-ish.)

I am so happy with Viz and their josei/seinen output this year. Raised by dugongs! Japanese matriarchies! Astro Boy fanfic!

If you have not seen takeru: OPERA SUSANOH SWORD OF THE DEVIL [sic] then poke at it because it is manga Based On A Play and so automatically gets 1000+ bonus points for "WANT TO SEE PLAY WANT WANT." And also "OMG THE BLOCKING REQUIRED FOR ALL THE SWORDFIGHTS!"

I saw it and I put it back because I was already carrying Wolverine: Worst Day Ever, Petshop of Horrors: Tokyo 5, Bride of the Water God 3, Children of the Sea 1, and miracle of miracles, Joe Lansdale's Vanilla Ride, a new Hap and Leonard novel and one more book just wasn't going to happen.

I have added it to my Amazon wishlist, however.
