The Big Picture is today featuring photos of lightning around the world.

So ... anything anyone want to hear me talk about? (Or want to read me type about, more to the point.) I've mostly been reading nonfiction books at the moment (How We Decide by Jonah Lehrer about current findings in neuroscience is the book of the day) and watching Dexter and Eureka on DVD (partly into the second season on both, I KEEL YOU if you drop ANY spoilers*, especially on Dexter). I do have some vague thoughts on the differences between the two shows - er, more than one is a feel-good show about geniuses and the other is a drama about a personable serial killer - that I intend to write up at some point, but haven't gotten around to.

But I'm feeling out-of-touch since most of my email isn't LJ/DW comment notifications, but survey invitations and spam. :) So ask questions, suggest topics, whatever. I reserve the right not to answer some questions and not to explain why, though. :)

* And ask me to define "spoilers" first before deciding if something is or isn't one, please. I really prefer to go into something not knowing anything about it, so have a very strict definition. i.e. seeing an icon of the Avatar main characters from the second season dressed in Fire Nation clothing when I'd only seen the first season counted as a spoiler to me, because it told me that they probably went to the Fire Nation, and spent a good deal of time there.

I think you should go read Secret Identities and report back to the group.

Could you talk more about any new manga you're reading? I liked learning about that series by Kaoru Mori.

Have you started any new drawings lately? (After Renji, I mean.)

There's that one I'm working on for the livelongnmarry person whose artist vanished on her. And I've got, like, six commissions that I'm WAAAAAAY behind on and need to work on, but the problem is that every time I fianlly manage to sit down and work on something, here comes another con I've got to get ready for. :) I think I'm attending too many cons this year. (Luckily, there's only one left.)

My housemates love Dexter, but I could never really get in to it for some reason and thought the main character was just a bit "blah".

I love watching Eureka. I've never watched it continuously for very long (I tend to forget it's on), but I like that each episode tends to stand on its own but they also fit in to a plot arc as well.

I'm always happy to hear about cracktastic manga/ anime (or in fact anything cracktastic). I had to share that link to the Princess Di thing with my housemate, we were both overwhelmed by Prince Charles. I was especially impressed with Eeeeevil Camilla Parker-Bowles. It would have made the news far more interesting when they got married if she'd come out and done a classic evil anime woman laugh before she unleashed a devastating attack upon the nation. :D
